Terms and Conditions

By installing, accessing, or playing Astral Isles (the "Game"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in that cannot be waived by agreement.

1. License

The Game is licensed, not sold. Astral Isles (the "Developer", "we", or "us") keeps all ownership and intellectual property rights in the Game, including its code, art, music, assets, servers, characters, items, worlds, and lore.

You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play the Game for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not sublicense, transfer, or assign it.

Virtual Items

Characters, accounts, virtual items, virtual currency, worlds, and progress in the Game ("Virtual Assets") belong to the Developer. They are part of the Game's service and have no real-world monetary value.

No Real-Money Trading

You may not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer Virtual Assets or accounts for real money, services, or anything else of value outside the Game ("Real-Money Trading"). Doing so, or trying to, breaks these Terms.

Eligibility

If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

2. Rules of Conduct

You agree to use the Game lawfully and are responsible for what you do and post in it.

You must not:

1. Use cheats, hacks, bots, macros, scripts, or other unauthorized tools, or modify the Game.
2. Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game or its anti-cheat.
3. Intercept, emulate, or redirect the Game's network traffic.
4. Exploit bugs, duplicate items or currency, or disrupt the game economy.
5. Harass, bully, threaten, spam, or discriminate against other players or staff.
6. Impersonate others, or take part in Real-Money Trading.
7. Post anything illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful, including anything that sexualizes or endangers children.
8. Disrupt or overload the servers, or interfere with other players' experience.
9. Try to access accounts, servers, or systems without permission.
10. Use the Game for commercial purposes or advertising without our written permission.

Anti-Cheat

To detect cheating, bots, and abuse, the Game collects information about your device, the timing of your input on the login screen, and your gameplay, and checks for known cheating tools. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is collected.

3. Reporting and Moderation

How to Report

Email astralisles@gmail.com to report a player, a message, or anything else in the Game that breaks these Terms or the law. Tell us the player's name, what happened, and when. You can also use this address for copyright complaints and for questions from authorities.

We review every report. We report content that sexually exploits children to the authorities, as the law requires.

What We Can Do

If you break these Terms, we may remove your content, mute you, suspend your account, or permanently ban you, depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before. For serious harm or illegal activity, we may act right away.

Appeals

When we act against your account or content, we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law or safety prevents it. If you think we made a mistake, email astralisles@gmail.com within 6 months and we will review the decision.

4. Ending Your Access

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing astralisles@gmail.com.

We may suspend or end your access for breaking these Terms, to protect players or the Game, or if we stop running the Game. Because the Game is in development, we may also reset game data. When access ends, your license and Virtual Assets end with it.

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Game is in development and is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for lost progress, downtime, or technical problems.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 6 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

6. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee and the federal laws of the United States.

Arbitration (United States)

If you live in the United States, any dispute about these Terms or the Game will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and we both waive class actions and class arbitration. Either of us may go to court to stop infringement of intellectual property.

Outside the United States

If you live outside the United States, you may bring a claim in the courts where you live, and the consumer laws of your country still apply to you.

7. Indemnification

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, from claims by others caused by your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Game.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. For changes that matter, we will tell you in the Game or by email before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop playing and you can ask us to delete your account.

We may also change the Game itself, including its content, features, and servers, at any time.

9. Emails

We may email you about your account, security, and changes to these Terms. We only send game updates and other promotional emails if you separately sign up for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

10. Other Terms

Account security: Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it was not your fault.

Feedback: If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without paying you.

Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Game.

Severability: If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it is changed as little as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stays in effect.

No waiver: If we do not enforce a term, we can still enforce it later.

Assignment: We may transfer these Terms to someone who takes over the Game. You may not transfer them.
