About the game

Astral Isles is a free MMORPG played in the browser where every player owns a floating island among the stars. Players travel between the islands: the Arcanum, a city of wizards and scholars; Lunaris Reach, a village of farmers and craftsfolk; and wilder worlds of lava, ice, sand, meadow and caves.

Every player has a floating island of their own to build on and grow. They gather wood, stone and ore, craft at anvils and furnaces, and break what they find into Ess, the six elements, to enchant their weapons, armor and tools. Bosses such as the Grub Queen, the Anarchic Crystal and the Shadow are fought together with friends.

The Ess Crystal breaks items into fire, water, earth, air, light and dark, the energy that enchants gear and opens the way to more dangerous worlds.

History

Astral Isles opened in pre-alpha on October 7, 2026. Since then it has gained a wiki, Ess and enchanting, Simplified Chinese and playing in the browser. Every change is on the Updates page.
